We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the questions and comments your legislators offer regarding the travel industry and the statewide marketing program administered by the Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA). One of many ways to do this is to observe recent hearings held by the legislature below.

Tourism Marketing Appropriation for DCCED added to SB 46, House Finance Committee 5/13/11

Amendment #3 by Reps. Costello, Stoltze and Thomas introduced and passed authorizing a $12 million, 1-year capital budget appropriation for tourism marketing as administered by the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development. Note that this amendment does not include mention of ATIA (previously referred to as the Qualified Trade Association).
