The Alaska Tourism Marketing Board (ATMB) met on July 7 and approved a revised tourism marketing plan based on a $1.5 million budget. The focus of this program is ensuring TravelAlaska.com (http://www.TravelAlaska.com) continues to be a top site for consumers to find inspiration, travel information and a connection to your business. The new plan centers around a digital marketing campaign to drive traffic to the site as well as generating consumer awareness through a public relations and trade program. The focus of the Board meeting will be to hear staff recommendations on moving forward a tourism marketing plan for 2017 and to discuss the future of tourism marketing funding.
