During the month of July, 2007 a total of 1,100 computer assisted telephone interviews were conducted with random samples of respondents that met the following criteria:

• Male or female, resident of Alaska, over 21 and makes or shares in the decision where to travel; and
• In the past year made at least one day trip 50 miles or more from home, where the purpose of the trip was pleasure or visiting friends or relatives, or at least one “out of town” overnight trip of any distance from home but stayed within the State of Alaska, and the purpose of the trip was for pleasure, business plus pleasure, medical plus pleasure, or visiting friends or relatives.
