   The AlaskaTIA "Best Ball" Golf Tournament!

We're hosting the semi-annual AlaskaTIA “Best Ball” Golf Tournament on October 3, in conjunction with the 2005 Convention. The golf tournament, to be held at the Anchorage Golf Course, is a fundraiser for the ATIA Foundation that funds numerous college scholarships to students pursuing a career in the tourism industry.

The Anchorage Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course located on the lower hillside in South Anchorage. The rolling, tree-lined fairways frame views of the Chugach Mountain Range, the Anchorage city skyline, Cook Inlet and Denali.

AlaskaTIA members contribute to the ATIA Foundation at industry events throughout the year and through seven local chapters of the association across Alaska. In 2005, the foundation awarded $24,500 in scholarships to 12 students.

AlaskaTIA “Best Ball” Golf Tournament is open to the public and early registration is encouraged. In addition to golfing, individuals and companies are invited to sponsor a hole to raise money for the ATIA Foundation.
