2021-22 ATIA Board of Directors Election
ATIA is currently accepting Declarations of Candidacy for the 2021-22 Board of Directors. Board of Directors elections are held each September with electronic ballots sent to ATIA members in good standing as of August 31. Election results are announced during ATIA’s Annual Convention in October.

OUTSIDE: 3-year term, 1 seat available
SOUTHEAST: 3-year term, 1 seat available (seat is outside the City and Borough of Juneau)
AT-LARGE: 3-year term, 1 seat available
INTERIOR: 3-year term, 1 seat available
SOUTHCENTRAL: 3-year term, 1 seat available (seat is outside the City and Borough of Anchorage)
How to Apply
Please complete a Declaration of Candidacy and submit by 5:00pm Alaska Time on August 15, 2021. Submission requirements and instructions are outlined in the Declaration of Candidacy.
Board of Directors Election Timeline
August 15, 2021: Declaration of Candidacy forms due to ATIA
September 1, 2021: E-Voting begins
September 30, 2021: E-Voting closes
The President & CEO and a representative from the committee certify the elections. The President notifies all candidates within one day (24 hours), including those receiving the most votes, prior to the ATIA Convention and Board Meetings in Anchorage, Alaska. Candidates that do not receive the most votes are encouraged to present to the ATIA Board of Directors at the Convention Board Meeting on Thursday, October 14 their interest in serving on the board as a one-year appointee. This way, a candidate can continue to engage with ATIA’s membership and have a year of experience on the board if they decide to run again in the next election.
