ATIA Coffee Chat: Pre-Voice of the Membership

Event description

In preparation for the ATIA Annual Members Meeting / Voice of the Membership session at the ATIA Annual Convention, this month's Coffee Chat will be a special one hour Pre-Voice of the Membership conversation. This meeting is for you and your colleagues from around the state to discuss important topics and share feedback with ATIA. Recaps of this discussion will help guide the Voice of the Membership session at Convention.

This session is open to all ATIA members statewide – both for those that are planning on attending Convention and those who aren't able to attend but would like to share their feedback and ideas with ATIA. ATIA Membership Chair Jacqui Taylor-Rose will lead this discussion. Questions will include:

  • How is 2024 shaping up for you? What were your biggest business successes and challenges this year?
  • What do you think are the opportunities and challenges facing your community with regards to tourism development?
  • Advocacy is a big part of ATIA's work. What are some key regional and statewide issues we should be aware of and consider lending our voice to?
  • A key part of ATIA’s mission is to promote Alaska as a premier visitor destination. The average state marketing budget is $22 million per year, while ATIA’s current funding level is $5 million. What are your thoughts on securing and growing Alaska’s statewide tourism marketing funding?
  • What can ATIA do to support your community and business?
