How did you get your start in Alaska tourism?
Perhaps it was through a friend working on the docks or a trusted mentor who shared stories and advice. Or perhaps you just wanted to share your love of Alaska with visitors from around the world. Somehow, some way, you were inspired to pursue a lifelong career in tourism.
The ATIA Foundation, through the generous support of individuals and businesses, is honored to support Alaska residents from high school through established career veterans in strengthening their knowledge and skills as Alaska tourism professionals.
Traditionally, the ATIA Foundation raises more than $8,000 in unrestricted scholarship funds during ATIA’s Annual Convention. This year, with the advent of COVID-19 and with thanks to all who supported the foundation through our virtual convention format, the foundation raised $1,100 in general donations and $600 for the Tania Hancock Memorial Scholarship.
If you are able, please consider donating today and help us continue to give the gift of a bright tourism future.
