While Alaska’s tourism sector is incredibly resilient, we will need a focused, targeted effort to attract visitors in-state and to regain market share globally. When it is right and safe to do so, Alaska needs to be in the marketplace as a safe, accessible, destination.
A competitive statewide destination marketing program – complemented by local marketing efforts – will have a wider reach than any one company’s or community’s efforts. To do this, we need resources to saturate the current market through advertising and paid media.
