Accounting Coordinator

The Accounting Coordinator supports the efficient operations of multiple companies through a wide range of administrative and accounting functions. This will primarily consist of accounts receivable oversight, employee relations, payroll processing, and financial and other information analysis.

Job Details

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties Include, not limited to:
 Performs and directs all accounts receivable functions including:
o Timely and accurate entry of daily sales activities
o Timely collections of all outstanding accounts
o Processing of payments received and preparation of deposits
o Audit checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of information entered.
 Performs accurate and timely payroll processing and all associated activities including:
o Processing payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately per agreements and time-keeping system
o Ensure timely payments of all associated costs like taxes and benefits
o Prepare and submit required tax and benefit paperwork
 Supervises, directs, and provides performance management of accounting team
 Verifies accuracy of data processed
 Provides backup to and assists Controller in accomplishing responsibilities
 Provides input on design and implementation of systems and generates information for report preparation and data analysis
 Other duties as assigned

 Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and ability to learn more advanced ones;
 Skilled in supervisory duties including recruitment and performance management;

 Skilled in coaching and mentoring;
 Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite software applications;

 Ability to attend to all details, as well as see the overall big picture;
 Ability to be organized and keep meticulous electronic and paper files;
 Ability to clearly and respectfully communicate with diverse populations;

 Associates degree in accounting, finance or related field.
o OR three years of work experience, with progressing responsibilities, in an accounting or financial position may be substituted for education.
 Payroll experience preferred.

 This position is primarily office based
 Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting;
