Job Details

Gold Daughters is a family owned and operated seasonal gold panning attraction in Fairbanks, Alaska that specializes in all day gold panning. Besides gold panning, we also offer a large outdoor mining museum as well as a gift shop. We strive to create a positive work atmosphere with an emphasis on community, fun and enjoying the outdoors. Our motto is “go outside and play” and we are grateful to be able to do that every day for work! Gold panning offers a chance to slow down and a enjoy the simpler things in life while providing an opportunity to connect with people from different places and cultures through a fun activity. We believe that tourism is the best industry in Alaska as it provides an opportunity to share our love and passion for our home state with visitors from all over the world. To see more of what we do visit our website or find us on Instagram or Facebook.

We are looking for individuals that are outgoing, knowledgeable about Fairbanks/Alaska and who genuinely care about people. Primary duties include teaching the art of gold panning, helping customers find gold, and interacting with customers in a positive manner to ensure they have a great experience. Other duties include, but are not limited to, making jewelry, executing sales, taking care of the property and equipment, etc. In just one summer season, expect to meet people from all over the world, work outside, and take away lessons and stories that will last a lifetime. You never know who you will meet and what an impact you can have by being a big part of someone’s dream trip to Alaska! No experience necessary, but a care for people and a willingness to learn is a must. Tour guide applicants must be self-starters, comfortable with long hours on their feet, working outdoors and interacting with people.
