$750/week. The Sales Manager is charged with the entire operation of the retail aspect of the company as well as some operational aspects. The Sales department includes all sales areas including the Snack Shack, Assayer’s Office, Gold Parlor, and Fine Jewelry & Nuggets. The Sales Manager will prepare all inventory required for the season, coordinate with all vendors to ensure a timely delivery and coordinate payment methods, design and prepare the retail areas for operations, and execute a daily plan according to sales goals and the operation itself.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Procures all items for Sales department and arranges for delivery and availability.
Constantly monitors stock levels and purchases and ensures they stay within budget avoiding high inventory costs.
Prepares the sales areas for operations and ensures that all sub-departments are working according to the sales plan as designated by the company’s upper management.
Organizes all store operations and allocates responsibilities to personnel.
Supervises and guides staff towards maximum performance. Prepares and controls the Sales Department’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency. Deals with complaints and requests from customers to maintain the store’s reputation.
Inspects all areas in the store and resolves any issues that might arise. Plans and oversees in-store promotional events or displays. Keeps abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store and to the merchandise portfolio.
Promotes the company brand and incorporates the company’s identity into the retail aspect of the items.
Oversees the assaying aspect of the gold panning products as well as allowing all guests to roam through the retail areas.
Ensures the store fulfils all legal health and safety guidelines.
Educational Background
High School Diploma required
BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
Professional Experience
2+ Years of experience as retail manager or in other managerial position
Knowledge of retail management best practices
Experience in hospitality, or tourism a plus
Experience with Point-of-Sale software
