Job Details

Infinite Adventures is a small adventure company offering camping/overland-style trips in Alaska in a converted school bus. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced CDL-Driver who loves the outdoors and likes to inspire people from all over the world taking them on an adventure they’ll always want to relive!

What we are looking for (Minimum Requirements):
– CDL Class B with Passenger/Air Brake Endorsements (clean record) or willingness to obtain a CDL
– Experience in the Tourism Industry
– Positive Attitude and enthusiastic Team Player (you will be working with another tour leader)
– Resourcefulness, the ability to use initiative while thinking on your feet in ever-changing and challenging conditions
– The ability to thrive in a combination of long hours along with both physically and mentally challenging conditions
– You must be able to legally work in the US
– Covid Vaccination required for our staff
– CPR/First Aid Certification
– Must be 25 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:
– Willing to commit to more than one season as we are looking for a reliable crew member who can potentially train future driver/leaders
– A potential to join our business permanently as a operation manager in the future
– 2-5 years experiences as a tour leader/driver
– Basic mechanical knowledge
– Foreign language – German or Spanish

What we offer:

– Join most of the activities offered to our clients for free (e.g. kayaking, ice climbing, scenic flights, etc)
– We are looking to train you end of May/the beginning of June 2022 and expect you to run a full season until the middle of September 2022, however this can be adjusted for the right person
– Compensation starts $2500 per month but will increase with experience (transportation to and from Alaska, lodging, and meals are provided for the entire season)

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
– Drive our converted 1999 Freightliner school bus
– Perform daily inspections according to DOT law and fill out driver’s log
– Perform simple mechanical tasks such as oil changes
– Facilitate all aspects and logistics during our adventure camping trips in Alaska
– Prepare camp breakfast, lunches and dinners
– Guiding: take clients on hikes, provide information on the area (we will provide you with this information beforehand and help you get acclimated) and take part in activities with clients (like kayaking and ice climbing- no previous experience needed, but helpful)
– Taking care of gear (tents, kitchen gear, etc)
– Shopping, setting up camp, camp kitchen, help clients put up tents, help with camp safety
