Join ATIA for part two of our ballot initiative informational sessions on Proposition 2. Today, we’ll hear from Brett Huber, Defend Alaska Elections.
As a lifelong outdoors enthusiast, Brett came to Alaska 36 years ago. Once here he’s had the privilege to work and live throughout our great state. Over the years he’s been a fishing guide in the Bristol Bay, Illiamna and South-central Alaska regions, small business owner in King Salmon and Talkeetna, ran a statewide nonprofit in Soldotna and was first introduced to state politics in 1994 in the Mat-Su Valley. In addition to working for both the Legislature and the State, Brett became a community activist and involved participant in many issues affecting Alaskans. Most recently he managed the Governor’s successful statewide election and then joined the executive branch as the Governor’s Director of both policy and communications. One month ago, Brett stepped away from that position, to focus his attention on protection of our most basic Constitutional rights by organizing a statewide campaign to defeat Ballot Measure 2.
