“The future of tourism in Southcentral Alaska”
Circle your calendars now and plan to join us on Friday, November 18 for the Mat-Su CVB Annual Meeting. We’ve assembled a collaborative all-star panel of industry leaders to discuss the future of tourism in Southcentral Alaska, and what that means for Mat-Su CVB members.
- Sarah Leonard, President & CEO of the Alaska Travel Industry Association will talk about statewide research being conducted for the first time since 2016, and how CVB members can leverage that in their marketing efforts.
- Julie Saupe, President & CEO of Visit Anchorage, will talk about the recently completed Anchorage Strategic Plan and the trends and opportunities it identifies.
- Bonnie Quill, President & CEO of Mat-Su CVB, will talk about the Mat-Su Sustainable Tourism Master Plan, Mat-Su CVB’s cultural tourism initiatives, and a report on the timeline for construction of the Gateway Visitor Center.
The annual meeting begins at 10 a.m. at Evangelo’s in Wasilla. At 11 a.m., the Voice of the Membership takes place, which is your opportunity to meet the new board members and offer feedback for the organization to consider during its annual January board retreat. Stay for the “Stars of the Industry” luncheon at noon, where we’ll have pizza and cake and celebrate those who have gone above and beyond the last three years!
