Digital Marketing Manager
This full time position works under the direct supervision of the VP of Communications of Visit Anchorage to develop, execute, and manage in-state strategic marketing plans, programs, and initiatives including production, development, and branding in all platforms. Maintenance of the anchorage.net event calendar, job postings and answer traveler questions posed via Visit Anchorage online forms, email, social media, and other travel-related forums.

Responsibilities

• Research technology, including database marketing to promote Anchorage to Alaska residents
• Collaborate in the production of creative content for in-state ad campaigns
• Maintain the brand’s voice and guide visitor engagement through external communications with leisure audiences while responding to inquiries from local residents and potential visitors coming in via anchorage.net
• Develop annual advertising campaigns statewide including creative input, image, brand, tracking, ROI, and conversion rates
• Research advertising placements & execute cost-effective media buys
• Monitor and measure performance of marketing program and projects
• Work with IT dept to enhance Simpleview database capabilities to find new ways to optimize Web integration to create efficiency and improve customer service
Required Education/Experience/Skills
• 4-year college degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, or website management (or equivalent combination of education & experience)
• At least 3 years of relevant tourism, public relations, journalism, or digital marketing experience
• Proven experience with vendor management, public relations writing and editing in AP style

Pay & Benefits
Salary range is $55-65k commensurate with experience
Visit Anchorage pays the premium for group life and a percentage of the premium for health, Rx, vision, dental, insurance, HRA & FSA accounts
80 hrs of paid vacation on an accrual basis and more after 5 yrs of service
FT staff receive 144 hours of personal time for appointments, illness, and emergencies for employees & family members
11 paid holidays plus 1 floating, and an added day off in the employee’s birth month
Visit Anchorage allows up to 12 weeks of family leave
401(k) plan after 1 year of service, employer contribution equal to 5% of wages
