Guest Services Representative

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for developing and maintaining a cooperative relationship and are the primary contact for local vendors and Shore Excursion Managers for the various ships serviced.
They will interact with guests and ship personnel in a professional manner both in attitude and dress. They are responsible for confirming tour numbers on the docks and ensuring that all equipment is staged properly and safely on the docks, ready to execute departures on time.
Work closely with supervisors and managers to ensure that the ships requests, questions and bookings are met and reflected on the dispatch.
Accountable for carrying out their responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, objectives and applicable government laws and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

One year of experience with cruise ships from the port side of operations.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Clear communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a clean driving record to qualify for driving company vehicles.
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available.
Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.
