Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of luggage handling and driving tasks.
Routinely drives a 15-passenger van; applies knowledge of the area to drive employees to a pre-determined location.
Routinely loads and unloads luggage from trucks, motorcoaches, and luggage vans at our various properties and the airport.
Organize, sort, tally, tag, and label guest luggage daily.
Assists with misplaced and damaged luggage.
Performs basic mechanical duties.
Communicates frequently with supervisors and other team members via radio for updates, requests, or concerns.
Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.

REQUIREMENTS
Must pass a pre-employment background check.
Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record. (Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be requested).
Must meet Company’s clean driver eligibility requirements.
Minimum age of 18 is required.
Must be able to lift 50 – 75 pounds regularly, sometimes above head level.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, maintain an attention to detail and accuracy, while working in a team or group environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
Ability to lift 50 – 75 pounds regularly, sometimes above head level.
Ability to communicate clearly with customers, employees, and management.
Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
