Job Description

Voyij is hiring a Manager Local Relationships to serve as the primary point of contact for 200+ Voyij tour and retail business relationships, initially in the Alaska market. Our Manager Local Relationships will work one-on-one with Voyij business accounts from initial outreach, close, and onboarding to the voyij.com e-commerce website, and for the life of the account, providing ongoing communication and ensuring lifetime success and rapport.

The ideal candidate loves interfacing with local small businesses to help them achieve growth through online sales, is highly personable and professional over the phone and email, energized to work with small businesses with varying levels of technological know-how, proactive, persistent, and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of active leads (both inbound and outbound) and speak with and vet new business interest in a timely manner
• Religiously maintain detailed, accurate business information and activity history in Voyij’s Hubspot CRM tool, and additional business information, as needed, which may include: contract, tour insurance certificate, W-9, and supporting materials to successfully onboard new business accounts
• Guide new business sign-ups from initial outreach to close and account creation, including training and onboarding new businesses and products to voyij.com
• Support new business sign-ups with one-on-one training, as needed, via phone, videoconference, and/or additional written documentation to ensure quality and completeness of all new products added to voyij.com
• Learn the Voyij platform and act as liaison between businesses and other Voyij team members to address business inquiries and questions in an accurate, timely manner
• Proactively manage business accounts by providing ongoing best practices and tailored recommendations for maximum sales success through voyij.com, including sharing / facilitating additional Voyij services for businesses, such as photography, as the need arises
• Provide regular updates on new and existing client accounts to the VP Operations & Local Relationships and the CEO
• Responsible for additional activities as they arise, including finding ways to refine contracting, onboarding and client management processes

Requirements
• Prior experience working in travel or in Alaska, including experience with small businesses or cruise ships
• 1-2 years proven track record in an account management or client-facing role
• Energized to have direct impact on a small team in a fast-paced startup environment
• Exceptionally strong communication skills and able to relate to Voyij business partners on a personal / professional level to address needs and establish trust
• Must be a self-starter and a good listener with the ability to think strategically to solve problems
• Willingness to travel to local communities in Alaska to meet with businesses face-to-face and/or attend conferences, as the need arises

Preferred
• Knowledge of Hubspot CRM processes and management and data logging

Details
• Start date: October 1 OR Q1 2024
• Hours: full time / year-round, remote, candidates must be able to maintain workspace that will allow them to perform their responsibilities in a professional, orderly, and efficient manner
• Expectation is 40 hrs/week, with the understanding that some months may be more (i.e. summer) and some months may be less (i.e. winter)
• Pay: competitive, based on experience
