Infinite Adventures is a small, family-owned adventure company offering camping/overland trips in Alaska in a converted school bus. We are looking for an experienced Guide/Tour Leader who loves the outdoors and wants to inspire people from all over the world to step outside their comfort zone by taking them on an adventure they'll always want to relive!

What’s in it for you?
As an Adventure Guide you will work in a team environment ensuring clients have an amazing holiday. You will balance teamwork and autonomy throughout the course of the season, while always focusing on a positive client experience. The tour season begins in mid-May where we will train you on how to manage the tour, the clients, and logistics. After training you will run the full season beginning June 2024 and ending mid-September 2024.

As the Tour Leader you will be able to join a majority of the activities offered to the clients for free (e.g. kayaking, ice climbing, scenic flights, etc.). In addition, transportation to and from Alaska, lodging (mix of tents and hotels), all meals will be provided for the full season. And did we mention wildlife?
Compensation starts at ~$3500 per month and will increase with experience, and at the end of the season we offer a bonus. The total compensation package is ~$4000 per month inclusive of food, lodging, bonuses, activities. And did we mention the office view? This salary is for the seasonal job as an Adventure Guide/Tour Leader. If the position turns into a year round, Leader/Operations position assisting with sales and administration, we will adjust the compensation accordingly.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Facilitate all aspects and logistics during our adventure camping trips in Alaska, including but not limited to: organizing activities, communication with campsites and hotels on rooming lists, recording expenditures, communicating with operations/office as agreed upon, and smartly addressing any unexpected logistical challenges that arise including client safety
Prepare camp breakfast, lunches and dinners, catering to different dietary requirements
Guiding trips with clients including: taking clients on hikes, providing information on the area (we will provide you with this information beforehand and help you get acclimated), taking part in activities with clients (like kayaking and ice climbing- no previous experience needed, but helpful), teaching client best practices for enjoying close encounters with wildlife and addressing non-compliance from clients
Managing, repairing, and cleaning of gear (tents, kitchen gear, etc.)
Coordination of shopping, camp set up, camp kitchen logistics, helping clients put up tents, being in charge of camp safety, and client camp jobs/cook groups
You will work long hours some days and will have time to enjoy activities with clients or time to yourself on other days

What we are looking for (Minimum Requirements):
Experience in the Tourism Industry/Leading Adventure Trips
Positive Attitude and enthusiastic Team Player (you will be working with another tour leader/driver)
Resourcefulness and common sense, the ability to use initiative while thinking on your feet in ever-changing and challenging conditions
The ability to thrive in a combination of long hours along with both physically and mentally challenging conditions and run trips back to back in May/June/July/August
Willingness to put clients needs and wishes as the first priority all summer long since business success is dependent upon clients having an amazing experience
You must be able to legally work in the US
CPR/First Aid Certification (we can help to obtain this)
Must be 25 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:
CDL Driver’s License to help drive the bus during long days
Willing to commit to more than one season as we are looking for a reliable crew member who can potentially train future driver/leaders
Lives in Alaska or willing to relocate there if working longterm for us as an Ops Manager at least during the summer
A potential to join our business permanently as an Ops Manager part-time, year round (client communication after booking, managing database, assistance with vendor and agencies communication throughout the year, and social media)
2-5 years experiences as a tour leader/driver
Foreign language - German or Spanish
