Our Operations Manager is tasked with guiding and overseeing the company’s hikes, presentations, and other tour offerings. They are an experienced outdoor enthusiast with a deep appreciation for nature, wildlife, and environmental conservation. The Operations Manager will be responsible for providing a safe, educational, and memorable experience for our guests while showcasing the unique natural beauty of Alaska. In addition to becoming familiar with and guiding each of our variety of trips, they also supervise the other guides. These duties include training, shadowing, and coaching guides and helping them to achieve their greatest potential. They assist with customer relations with the lodges, companies, and land management agencies that partner with us. The Operations Manager is the leader of our team of guides and aids in building an enjoyable company culture. They will also assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, trip logistics, social media, and answering phone calls.

You will work closely with Howard and Noelle, the company’s founders and owners. We are former Denali National Park rangers and share a strong ethic of operating responsibly. We foster a culture of respect and inclusion within our company, and strive to be great people to work with. We have run and grown Alaska Nature Guides for 20 years, but are now looking for just the right person to share in effort. This position has great potential for upward mobility.
